Green Christmas Tree Earrings

I wanted to create these green Christmas tree earrings for a while. Having all kinds of holiday earrings, I was still missing a beaded Christmas tree. It is a lovely holiday craft idea worth creating. And it doesn’t take that much time. Pour a cup of hot tea or coffee, and enjoy!

This earring design is based on my recently published Winter Holiday Earrings Tutorial, which you can access now for a limited time on my new page Monthly Tutorial.

The green color was an obvious choice, but if you check the tutorial illustration, you will see that other color options might look attractive, too. See more about colors below.

The earring design is built using one of my favorite stitches Cubic Right Angle Weave

You can decorate the tree with your favorite beads or use leftovers from another project. This pair of earrings is decorated with different kinds of accent beads I found in my stash. The key for accent beads here is to keep them sparkling.

Beads and Colors

I picked different finishes and tones of green seed beads. To make sure we are on the same page about color tones, check this green color list.

The 8/0 seed beads are Forest green with a rainbow surface finish.

One of the 11/0 seed bead colors is close to Hunter green and has a silver-lined finish.

Another 11/0 seed bead color is close to Pistachio green and has a matte finish.

One of the 15/0 seed beads’ color is Apple green and has a matte finish.

Another 15/0 seed beads color is close to the Japanese Laurel fashion green with a semi-transparent finish.

I used an 8mm faceted red glass crystal to decorate the tree top. However, you can pick any red bead you like and make decorations for these earrings with leftover beads.

I hope you are having a lovely holiday season!

Enjoy this new tutorial and share it with your beading friends!
