Camelback Mountain Walk. Phoenix, Arizona

Camelback Mountain is one of Phoenix’s most beautiful places to walk around, and if you are wealthy enough, to live, too.
My husband and I were planning to hike along the Chola trail, but it was closed. So we just took a walk admiring house architecture and Phoenix views.

Camelback Mountain

Camelback Mountain has an elevation of 2,704 feet and is the highest peak in Phoenix. It took geological nature tens of millions of years to sculpt this masterpiece of sandstone and granite majesty. It symbolizes a resting camel that constantly gazes at the beauty from high above the Phoenix horizon.

Cholla Lane Walk

Camelback Mountain is an excellent hike or climb in Arizona. It is perfect for tourists because it is quick and located in the middle of the Phoenix Valley. There are two hiking trails, Echo Canyon and Cholla. Both trails are considered challenging, while Echo Canyon is steeper and Cholla is longer.

As I mentioned above, the Cholla trail was temporarily closed, so we decided to enjoy the city’s views and admire the architecture of the luxury homes along the street.

Luxury Homes

The architecture of each luxury home located along Cholla Lane is different. However, all of them have one thing in common: all of the elements are arranged, having in mind spectacular views.

One of the modern architectural designs attracted my attention. I can’t say I particularly admire its beauty, but I certainly feel the harmony of being inside of it and enjoying the view.

Overall, the Camelback Mountain walk was a brief and refreshing activity for a relaxed tourist like me.
Have you been to Phoenix? What kind of walk would you enjoy while in the city?
