Beaded Crimp Cover

I found my crimps, but where are the crimp covers? Why not make a beaded crimp cover?

It is hard to buy all sizes of crimp covers in all colors you might need! If this is your story, read on!

I just designed a necklace, collected all the components, beaded the focal point, strung all the beads on a wire, but I have no crimp covers of the right color and the right size to finish it!

I don’t want to order a hundred of them and wait for a week until they arrive. Not even mentioning, I will have to pay for shipping, and probably buy more stuff than I need.

And I don’t want to leave the crimps uncovered. Some people may not notice that. But I do know that they are exposed, and that is not ok for me.

So what do I do?
I make them, of course!

Quick and Easy Beaded Crimp Cover

You will need a few seed beads size 15, a beading needle size12, and a beading thread.

Use the Right Angle Weave stitch to make a short chain of several units.
Then connect the ends of it making a cylinder.

Then add one seed bead in between each RAW unit on both sides of the cylinder.

Well, a cylinder is a big word for this tiny component, but it is what it is.

Use a magnifying glass to make sure you see the RAW units and the beads between them.

After you have done, don’t forget to secure and hide the remains of the thread. This task might take longer than it took you to bead the covers, but it is worth the effort.

And the beaded crimp covers are done! Or, I should say, the cheapest and the quickest version of them.

Happy beading!
