Herringbone Stitch Spiral Variation

Herringbone stitch spiral is one of my favorite techniques when I need to weave a necklace quickly. Add just one more size of seed beads to your usual selection, and you will get a spiral effect.

For my recent Spring Flower Necklace, I decided to use three sizes of seed beads:

  • 15/0
  • 11/0
  • 8/0

If you have tried the basic tubular herringbone, you will successfully master this variation in no time.

For the most colorful effect, select two colors of seed beads size 11/0, and different colors for beads size 8/0 and 15/0.

Tubular Herringbone For The Spring Necklace

For my Spring Flower Necklace design, I went a little further and added stone chips to the spiral: fluorite and peridot.
